2 Corinthians 9:11-15
What are you grateful for today?
You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!

Do you think you understand the vastness of God? Do you think you understand the highness of God’s thoughts? Okay, pick up a handful of sand. Now, count the grains. Now multiply that number by how many handfuls of sand there are on the beach and again by how many beaches are in the world. That is how many thoughts God has of you, specifically. Now multiply that by the population of the world, since the beginning.
That is too much for me to comprehend. My human mind cannot begin to grasp it. Yet God, loves you so much, that his thoughts outnumber that number (which I am not smart enough to know). Imagine that. Bless God today. Think about Him. Seek Him. Try to look at the world the way He looks at the world and at you. By the way, He looks at you with perfect love. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you. Psalm 139:17-18 Luke 18:1-8
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man. And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself,‘ Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’” And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” |
