Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21 On photo of Sun Shining Through the Trees by Bryon Bella
He is not afraid of bad news;
his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.
The doctor gave me bad news. If I had insurance, they could help. But without it, they told me I would simply have to learn to live in pain and without the full use of my arm. Satan tried to steal my hope. But God is greater than the doctors, the insurance company, or the bankers. He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4). He doesn’t need doctors, surgeons, or money to meet my needs. He is God my Healer, my Provider, my Comfort, my Father, my All in All. He keeps His promises and He gives me the desires of my heart when I delight in Him. (Deuteronomy 7:9, Psalm 37:4).
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
1 John 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him;
John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
And his name—by faith in his name—has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.
Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
1 Corinthians 3:16
But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.
2 Corinthians 3:16
that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, “And to offsprings,” referring to many, but referring to one, “And to your offspring,” who is Christ.
Then those who feared the Lord spoke with one another. The Lord paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the Lord and esteemed his name.
Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness:
He was manifested in the flesh,
vindicated by the Spirit,
seen by angels,
proclaimed among the nations,
believed on in the world,
taken up in glory.
1 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
2 Timothy 3:16
Long life is in her right hand;
in her left hand are riches and honor.
The Lord roars from Zion,
and utters his voice from Jerusalem,
and the heavens and the earth quake.
But the Lord is a refuge to his people,
a stronghold to the people of Israel.
... that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
