I mourn that little girl's life
She was only three.
although most people didn't notice
she slipped into a coma
it was a coma so deep
even she thought she was dead
Occasionally, something would almost revive her
But someone would push her back into her deep darkness
But Love finally revived her
she slowly came back to life
I grieve for that lost childhood
For the child she may have been
For the woman she could have been
for the children she never bore
I mourn all that was stolen from me
