Read Isaiah Chapter 33
Everyone has a choice. You can choose The Lord or you can choose sin. I know that not everyone who opts for sin sees it as such. They think they are selecting morality and goodness but without God there is no goodness. Choosing Righteousness means making Jesus Christ your Lord, your master, the boss of your life. If you elect not to make Jesus your king, you are choosing sin. It is that black and white. The world may look like a million shades of grey, but in the end it is one black and white choice.
The results of that decision are pretty simple as well. You either live with eternally with Jesus as your King, Protector, Lord, and Friend, or you experience eternity separated from Him in destruction, fire, and living death.
Do you look to the Lord for your salvation? What a wonderful true redemption it is. He is our deliverer and our hope. Verse 2 reads,
“O Lord, be gracious to us; we wait for you.
Be our arm every morning,
our salvation in the time of trouble.”
His grace is magnificent. Oh how He loves! He is worthy of our praise. There is so much to praise Him for. Verses 5-6 read,
“The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high;
he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness,
6 and he will be the stability of your times,
abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge;
the fear of the Lord is Zion's treasure.”
When you see God as your LORD and King. When you understand His greatness, majesty, and awesomeness, you can have peace. You do not have to fear anything or anyone because you know who God is. But not everyone knows God that way. They will experience His Love and justice in a whole different way. They will experience His tremendous wrath. They ignored Him throughout their lives, they took what they wanted. They sought their own glory and satisfaction instead of God. They didn’t care about justice against those who oppressed the poor and weak. They lived for themselves instead of True and Perfect Love. They won’t call Him Lord now, but one day they will see Him as Awesome Mighty LORD. Verses 13-14 read,
“Hear, you who are far off, what I have done;
and you who are near, acknowledge my might.
14 The sinners in Zion are afraid;
trembling has seized the godless:
“Who among us can dwell with the consuming fire?
Who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings?”
One day all those people who refused to humble themselves before the Lord will be gone. One day God’s Love for you will put them in eternal fire and will give you a place of everlasting joy and peace. Verses 21-22 read,
“But there the Lord in majesty will be for us
a place of broad rivers and streams,
where no galley with oars can go,
nor majestic ship can pass.
22 For the Lord is our judge; the Lord is our lawgiver;
the Lord is our king; he will save us.”
Verse 24 reads,
“And no inhabitant will say, “I am sick”;
the people who dwell there will be forgiven their iniquity.”
What a wonderful place that will be. What an awesome great place. There will be no sin there. There will be no injustice, no oppression, no sickness, no sadness, and no pain. None of that can enter the perfect presence of God. He will be there and only the perfect and righteous can enter there.
You have a choice. Who is your Lord? Is it you or is it Jesus? Will you spend eternity with Him or will you spend eternity without Him?
