Read Isaiah Chapter 43
God loves you very much. He created you. He chose you. He called you. He saved you. Don’t you imagine He will sustain you? Don’t you know no matter what He will be with you? Nothing can take you away from Him. Nothing.
Verse 1 reads,
“But now thus says the Lord,
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.”
You have nothing to fear. You belong to Almighty God. No matter what you go through God will take care of you. He will keep you. Verses 2-3 read,
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.
3 For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”
God created you for a reason. He intends to bring you to that purpose. He will one day gather us all together to Him. Verse 7 reads,
“everyone who is called by my name,
whom I created for my glory,
whom I formed and made.”
It will not matter how good or bad we are. It will only matter that The LORD redeemed us and we are His. He doesn’t burden us with 614 laws, uncounted rituals, rites, and traditions. He forgave us of every sin we ever committed or will commit. If He does all that, why would anyone suppose they could be snatched away from Him? This is The Holy One of Israel, The Great and Mighty God, The Lord God of Hosts. He is The LORD. Verses 9-11 read,
“All the nations gather together,
and the peoples assemble.
Who among them can declare this,
and show us the former things?
Let them bring their witnesses to prove them right,
and let them hear and say, It is true.
10 “You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor shall there be any after me.
11 I, I am the Lord,
and besides me there is no savior.”
Your sins do not exist anymore. Who you were before salvation does not exist anymore. You are new. You are made for God’s glory. You were bought by Jesus’ blood. You were made new. The Spirit is transforming you to reflect the image of God! God has, does, and will preserve you. He is The LORD. No one can undo what He has done. Verse 13 says,
“Also henceforth I am he;
there is none who can deliver from my hand;
I work, and who can turn it back?”
And verses 18-19 say,
““Remember not the former things,
nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert.”
Even when we are not as good as we should be, He is God. Even when we push Him down our list of priorities, He is The Lord. Even when we do not give Him the worship, honor, praise, and glory He deserves, He is I AM. Verses 22-25 put it this way,
“Yet you did not call upon me, O Jacob;
but you have been weary of me, O Israel!
23 You have not brought me your sheep for burnt offerings,
or honored me with your sacrifices.
I have not burdened you with offerings,
or wearied you with frankincense.
24 You have not bought me sweet cane with money,
or satisfied me with the fat of your sacrifices.
But you have burdened me with your sins;
you have wearied me with your iniquities.
25 “I, I am he
who blots out your transgressions for my own sake,
and I will not remember your sins.”
The Lord loves you so deeply. Look at what He has done for you. Even if you couldn’t list His sustenance, transformation, and provision, you could proclaim the miracle of salvation. He obliterated your sins. They do not exist anymore, even the acts you are committing right now and the ones you will commit later. God blotted them out.
We don’t have to offer Him sacrifices, worship Him, or praise Him, but isn’t that the reaction we should have to His deep and perfect love? Don’t we reciprocate some love? Do we not at least say, “Thank you, my Lord?”
Meditate on the good and great things The Lord has done for you. Consider your salvation. Consider His upholding, safeguarding, and preservation of you. Praise Him. He is The LORD. He is your loving Father, perfect Savior, and holy Comforter. He is The Almighty God, Who Was and Is and Is to Come.
