The LORD, Our God Almighty is sovereign. That means He is thee absolute power, the supreme authority. Regardless of whether we submit to His authority or not His will is carried out. Chapter 14 verses 24-27 read,
“The Lord of hosts has sworn:
“As I have planned,
so shall it be,
and as I have purposed,
so shall it stand,
25 that I will break the Assyrian in my land,
and on my mountains trample him underfoot;
and his yoke shall depart from them,
and his burden from their shoulder.”
26 This is the purpose that is purposed
concerning the whole earth,
and this is the hand that is stretched out
over all the nations.
27 For the Lord of hosts has purposed,
and who will annul it?
His hand is stretched out,
and who will turn it back?”
Submitting to God’s authority means you acknowledge His great power, it means you concede that the earth and everything in it belongs to Him. You give yourself to Him and rather than work against His plans you now serve Him and His purposes. But it isn’t a difficult service. It is not one sided either. When you stop being God’s enemy and allow Him to be your friend and your Father you see how different servitude to The Lord is from slavery to the world. The lies the enemy told you become very clear.
You will see the enemy for who he is and not who he painted himself to be. He is a bully who persecutes, oppresses and torments. Chapter 14 verses 5-6 read,
“How the oppressor has ceased,
the insolent fury ceased!
5 The Lord has broken the staff of the wicked,
the scepter of rulers,
6 that struck the peoples in wrath
with unceasing blows,
that ruled the nations in anger
with unrelenting persecution.”
He made himself out to be wonderful and beautiful. He looked so good you couldn’t see the chains. He even got you to think that all the corruption and pain of the world was not his fault. But when God opens your eyes you see the truth. The enemy is a liar, he himself is a lie and has based his entire purpose in this earth on a lie. Chapter 14 verses 12-14 read,
“How you are fallen from heaven,
O Day Star, son of Dawn!
How you are cut down to the ground,
you who laid the nations low!
13 You said in your heart,
‘I will ascend to heaven;
above the stars of God
I will set my throne on high;
I will sit on the mount of assembly
in the far reaches of the north;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.’
But he will get what’s coming to him. Chapter 14 verses 15-16 read,
“But you are brought down to Sheol,
to the far reaches of the pit.
16 Those who see you will stare at you
and ponder over you:
‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble,
who shook kingdoms,”
His followers will get what is coming to them. Chapter 15 verse 5 reads,
“My heart cries out for Moab;
her fugitives flee to Zoar,
to Eglath-shelishiyah.
For at the ascent of Luhith
they go up weeping;
on the road to Horonaim
they raise a cry of destruction;
And verse 9 of chapter 15 reads,
“For the waters of Dibon are full of blood;
for I will bring upon Dibon even more,
a lion for those of Moab who escape,
for the remnant of the land.”
But then when Satan and his followers who are all those who chose to ignore The LORD are destroyed there is the beauty of eternity. Chapter 16 verse reads,
“then a throne will be established in steadfast love,
and on it will sit in faithfulness
in the tent of David
one who judges and seeks justice
and is swift to do righteousness.”
Satan rules with oppression fear and lies. Jesus, The Lord God Almighty rules with love, justice, freedom, and truth. Do not be blinded by the false beauty Satan offers. Do not let the people around you be led by him to eternal death and destruction.
