I believe you should know who you are and live up to that identity. This is a very partial list of your identity in Christ. Consider who you are and choose to bring honor and glory to your Abba, your Daddy in heaven.
You are the child of God.
John 1:12
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God
It pleases God that you are His adopted son!
Ephesians 1:5
he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will--
You are accepted by Jesus Christ!
Romans 15:7
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
You have the fullness of God in Christ, and you have His power and authority!
Colossians 2:9-10
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.
You are one with God, united with Him in the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:17
But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.
You are forgiven and no longer a slave to sin.
Romans 6:6
For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin--
You are created in God’s image.
Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
You were formed specifically for the purpose God as set you apart for.
Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
You are an integral part of the body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:27
Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
You are chosen, holy, and you belong to God!
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
You are clothed with Christ, you are united with the brethren in Christ.
Galatians 3:27-28
for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
You are the Temple of God. You belong to God, He paid a dear price for you.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
Your Father loves you extravagantly and you will be transformed to Jesus’ perfection when He returns for you.
1 John 3:1-2
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
You are no longer dead in the flesh, but alive in the grace of Christ, you are hidden safe with Him.
Colossians 3:1-3
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
