Ingredients
· 2 cups water
· 1 tsp. salt
· 1 cup white rice
· 1 tbsp. butter (optional)
Directions:
1. Bring water to boil
2. Add rice, salt and butter
3. Cover and return to boil
4. Reduce heat to low
5. Cook for 15-20 minutes
After 15 minutes, check if done by standing a spoon in center of rice. If it stands it’s done. OR just check if there is any water left, by gently moving some of the rice aside, the rice is cooked after all the water is absorbed.
DO NOT STIR OR REMOVE COVER EXCEPT TO CHECK FOR DONENESS.
